After spending three years playing in the New York Mets organization, Brett Kay transitioned into the world of high school coaching. By his own admissions, it wasn't always easy. But since taking over the JSerra baseball program in 2006, the team holds a .639 winning percentage while sending 76 graduates on to playing at the collegiate or professional levels. He also serves as the school's assistant athletic director.
